Asus P5k Epu

Hi,
For the last 2 weeks I've been trawling the boards searching for a kext (or kexts) that would make my little old board get its sound going.
I've installed hundreds of kexts (and, yes, removed them), restarted dozens of times, all to no avail.
Please someone help me get my sound going? The best I can get is the pathetic summary in System Profiler as attached.
I've tried Voodoo, HDAEnabler, numerous ALC883Audio packs, and HDA kexts.
I'm not running a DSDT - I'm strictly kext installs at this stage, but I'd really like to get my sound going no matter how I have to do it.
Can anyone help?
I'm a bit of a noob, so any specific directions would be much appreciated.
In Windows it says my 883 driver version is 6.0.1.5628.
Cheers
