Native PATA/IDE drivers in Windows* XP do not support the ITE 8211 controller. If an IDE CD/DVD-ROM or IDE hard drive is used for installation of Windows XP, the F6 install driver is needed via a floppy disk.
Early versions of the Intel® Desktop Board DG33TL do not include a floppy drive connector, so a USB floppy drive is required. Note: Windows* XP does not include support for certain USB floppy drives. Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916196/en-us for more information.
