Hi,
I'm fairly new to hackintosh's and need some guidance with DSDT customisation.
I have a 12' Samsung Q210 Laptop which I would like to turn in to a HacBook. I have customised the SMBios.plist to mimic a MacBookPro5,5 as the Q210 has the same 2.26 Ghz P8400 processor. Retail Snow Leopard installed fine using Chameleon 2 RC5 pre8 R2. The Marvell Yukon 88E8805 ethernet works now that I have removed IOPCISecondaryMatch from Yukon2. The Realtek ALC262 High Definition Audio works fine with VoodooHDA. Sleep unfortunately doesn't work. The laptop appears to go to sleep but it is unable to wake.
NVEnabler does not work for me as it cannot load my NVCAP 'on the fly'. A customised Natit kext, however, gives me full hardware acceleration, mirroring etc for my 256MB nVidia GeForce 9200M GS. I obtained the correct NVCAP (04000000 00000100 02000000 00000007 00000000) by extracting the VGA bios from the Q210's Phoenix Bios and running it through NVCAP Maker v1.4.
What I would like to do now is customise my DSDT and remove Natit however I am unsure where to place this information in my DSDT. I have attached my decompiled DSDT and working Natit kext. NB My DSDT already contains a couple of fixes i.e. DTGP Method, HPET Fix, RTC Fix, Snow Leopard CMOS Hack, AC Adapter Hack & Fn Button Hack and compiles without error. Could someone point me in the right direction so that I can add the graphics info please? I am told that in order to get sleep working I need to correctly inject my graphics card via DSDT.
Thanks in advance.
*Updated*
In addition I have added the following to my DSDT:
Added Darwin OS in Scope (_SB.PCI0):
If (_OSI ('Darwin'))
{
Store (0x07D4, OSYS)
Store (0x07D4, OSYS)
}
Added PNLF between LID0 & PWRB:
Device (PNLF)
{
Name (_HID, EisaId ('APP0002'))
Name (_CID, 'backlight')
Name (_UID, 0x0A)
Name (_STA, 0x0B)
}
Unfortunately sleep is still not working and I cannot see the brightness slider in system preferences. Having looked into it further, I think my Samsung's backlight and PS2 keyboard & mouse are being turned off in place of sleep. Only a hard reboot will get me back into OSX. I cannot get sleepenabler kext to work with retail 10.6. The mouse and keyboard become unresponsive when sleep is enabled yet the LCD panel backlight remains on.
Again any help or advice would be very much appreciated, thanks.
