Before you start using your new interface, you need to register it on the Behringer website. This gives you a free license for the Tracktion software and extends your warranty. Follow the steps below to register the interface.

How to Register your UMC Series Interface

1. Register your audio interface by entering its serial number on Behringer’s registration page. The serial number is located on the back or bottom of your device.

2. On the next page, complete the requested information, upload your invoice, and click Submit.

3. After registering your product, Behringer will e-mail you a redemption code to activate Tracktion. Activation instructions can be found here.

Download & Install Driver Software

After registration, the next step is to download and install the required PC (Windows) driver. A driver isn’t necessary on a Mac OS because Behringer interfaces are class compliant and do not need additional software to connect. Follow the steps below to install the required driver software for Windows.

1. Visit Behringer’s Audio Interface page and select your product.

2. Click the Downloads tab and scroll down to Drivers. Click the latest available driver to start the download.

3. Open your Downloads folder, extract the .zip file, and run the .exe installer. Restart your computer after the installation completes.

Although most Behringer audio interfaces have their own driver (version 4.38 as of July 2018), some of the smaller interfaces will require the third-party driver, ASIO4All.
