You need to use the Firewire (aka i.Link) port on the PC110, not the USB port. Your Handycam records DV format on the miniDV tapes ... and in order to capture DV with a Mac you have to use Firewire.
Also, if you are going to record new videos with the camera, set it for SP speed (not LP) and 16-bit audio (not 12-bit).
ps. videos recorded to the Memory Sticks are in MPEG format and cannot be captured by iMovie or Final Cut Express. You would need to convert them to DV or Apple Intermediate Codec first.
